Because Bharat mata, that's our culture, and tradition. A person can change any faith or religion but can not change his/her culture, tradition and ancestors.
"Bharat mata", that is the thing which makes India unique.
Anything coming from the West we consider secular but anything coming from Indian culture we consider as communal. These is just slavery.
