history is full of killings, but you are talking of crimes which are not committed in name of religion.
vietnam, or hiroshima or world wars were not in name of religion.
the acts of muslim terrorists are in name of religion.
there had been people using terror for well defined political means, like LTTE, or Yasser Arafat, or IRA, but they were not doing in name of religion.
this is the difference between these terror acts and those done by people like osama and their supporters.
