So many msgs, so many points of views. The great thing abt the internet is that it gives even the most biased, ignorant, hate-mongering fool a chance to express his/her point of view. This is not about India or Pakistan or even about Hindus and Muslims. The fight has always been about money, power, land - in any order that you want to take them in. Hindus are afraid that with the rising Muslim population, they are going to take over this country and subject them the same stifling reign that Hindus in pakistan have to go through. Muslims are afraid that Hindus with their better education standards and their majority numbers are going to outrank them socially and economically. The sad fallout is that various politicians on both sides of the divide are using these fears to fuel their own personal agendas. Pakistan's request is another blatant show of its politicians oppurtunitism to stand out as the sole saviour of Muslims all over the world. Their cricket team displayed this same mentality not very long ago. The fact is that Hindus and Muslims are both victims of their politicians'power plays and they are dumb enough not to see through their charades. Almost all my best friends are Muslims and I am proud to say that they have always stood by me whenever I have needed help. I am fortunate to have them as my friends and equally unfortunate to have to read and hear and reply to such questions as posted in this discussion. When are we going to wake up and smell the coffee ???
