Congress was hell-bent to come to power by slicing JDS keeping father-son out of play.
JDS saw this coming and opted to go better alternative as going with BJP wil ltake some blame for GREAT betrayal.
BJP had no choce but to join JDS. Otherwise, Governer would have invited Congress to make government. Of course, it might hit back if Governer paves the way for elections.
