DV Act
by GOPE LALWANI on Oct 27, 2007 02:37 AM

Once the wife goes to the police station, that is the end of
the marriage, and for the husband she is like a dead woman.

The government should think of some other mechanism to save families
and marriages. The law should not break marriages and families.
Without the Draconian Laws, the marriage would survive and most
importantly, she would survive as wife. DV law is making the women to
jump from frying pan to fire. DV Act is only breaking more families and generate more awe in men towards relationships.

No amount of threat is enough to chastise a self-respecting person (Husband)
who compromises with his best efforts till the point, he breaks down and
can take no more!

Threats can never be the foundation of any relationship and more so
a marriage. You can oppress a man only up to a point where he is still
just allowed to feel his fear of indignation and disrepute in respectable society and has not been outweighed by the burden of his very survival.
