No I don't think this article "nailed" it for BJP. BJP would have been most happy with the same deal had they been in power instead of UPA. Now BJP is acting in the most opportunistic manner and come up with some convoluted lame excuse to oppose the deal for the sake of opposition. If BJP was patriotic it would have made an open offer to work with the govt in mitigating the aspects which it finds objectionable as opposed to current stance of helping the Left nuke the entire deal.

Know this much, this treachery would go down in history as an act of rank opportunism when BJP didn't hesitate to team up with downright anti-India CPIM to snuff out resurgent India's a dreams just so that Congress can look bad and BJP can come back to power riding on the anti-Congress sentiments from the fallout of the deal's failure.
