Why you are worried about immaginery hindu Gods i wonder.Saraswati was a might river where melted ice filled her waters,thats why she is represented as weaving white saree and since vedas were written on her banks that's why she is associated with goddess of knowledge.Maybe brahma(whoes symbol is lotus not swan or peacock)who is creator of all and also the creator of river saraswati ,maybe he did get very mesmerised with her beuty,as you are telling me may be he created his own five head to get a good look at the ever course changing saraswati,who also stopped every now and then which created many lakes (saras means lake in sanskrit and all other indo european langauge). It is being proved by geologists that river saraswati which was the mightest of all the indian rivers mighter than even ganga and bramhaputra river,has changed are course of flow many times and finally disappered completely.She was named saraswati because that river formed many saras on its path,hence in mythology is said to flow in dirrent direction taking a breath and stopping all along.This is how you should decord mythologies using scinetific means ,not just accuse mytholgies to be fiction of fertile mind,yes i do agree that many mythologies are dramatised version of history or the real natural fact.So next time dont reget mythology to be completely baseless,they do have some truth in them.
