Sumanta Deb,The actions of the trigger happy cops cannot be compared to that of mere possesion of weapon by Sanjay Dutt,the intent of which only Dutt knows while the court can draw various inferences.
It is true in the Delhi shoot out case,it appears the cops got some wrong information and hence bungelled.But which section of the law gives them the authority to kill without identifying the person.It may be noted the rights of self defence are limited and even in the gravest provocation the law enforcers are supposed to 'IMMOBILISE'by shooting at the lower body and not shoot to kill.
Empathise with the persons killed,they could be I,You or any innocent person down the road.Just saying 'policemen committed a mistake'will not make good the irreperable loss to their kith & kin.
