I read rediff discussion boards often and am alrmed and saddened by the hatred which people display here. People calling Prophet Mohammed names, or calling Jesus names or hindu gods names is not only immature but also shows their low tolerance. Most of us are born into a religion and then seek to uphold it by calling other religions names. Most of these people don't know much about other religions, let alone the unique circumstances existing in the middle east around the time they came into being.
All of them from Judaism, Christianity and Islam came into being in response to tyranny by rulers in the region. The founders of these religions did not actually try to start new religions but to settle the suffering of the common man.
About 2000 years ago our societies were a lot different and applying current laws and customs to how things happened in those days is an exercise in futility.
I would only appeal to people to be good human beings rather than attack each other's beliefs and religions. It takes us nowhere!
