SECOND RAJIV GANDHI AIRPORT IN THE SAME CITY!
by Kabeer on Oct 19, 2007 01:55 PM

Congress has already named one airport (International) after Rajiv Gandhi while the Domestic airport is named after NT Ramarao.

How many airports YSR wants to name after Rajiv Gandhi? Naidu is no different. Andhra culture is precedes centuries of NT Ramaraos existence.

Why all public places need to be named after only the politicians? There are many distinguished personalities who had contributed to the nation. Why not name after them?

If one wants to find a single personality who contributed to in freedom fighting, lower castes upliftment, movements against untouchability, widow remarriages, contributions to literature etc one single person stands head and shoulders above others is
KANDUKURI VEERESALINGAM!

He can rightly be chosen as the pride of Andhra.

Alas! These politicians believe that ANdhara came into prominece only after NT Ramarao. Andhra is much bigger than Ramarao and there were much bigger personalities towering above NT Ramarao.

They should discover their own identity and history.

It doesn't happen elsewhere in other states.

Rajiv Gandhis name is known to every one in the country. But these stalwarts contributions are forgotten! Time to remember all these giants for yoursake!
