The best way forward
by SYED AHMAD on Oct 18, 2007 03:51 PM

I think whatever be the case Government should allow people driving private vehicles to note down and report the registration numbers of the vehicles that flout the limits. It would be easier for them to find out if a particular bus is moving faster than their own speed. The government should ensure that the reporters remain anonymous and are paid at the minimum Rs 500 for reporting speed issues with private operators.Last time I was in Delhi I got fed up with the smaller metal boxes that are called as RTV's - shame on the traffic planners for a city that aims to host commonwealth games to show our failure as a developing nation on the verge of calling itself superpower of some sorts.
