I have traveled in Delhi buses some nine years back. I had worst experience of bus travel in my life then. Some instances..
1.Bus stops were horrible 2.Drivers and conductors did not have uniforms 3.The fare was not fixed 4.The stops were not fixed (Many a times driver would stop the bus as per his and conductor's liking) 5.The buses were overloaded. 6.The buses did not have proper plates for destinations marked on the front. 7.Registration numbers were in delipited condition. 8.Buses were not at all mentained properly. 9.Buses were quite polluting. 10. The most annoying fact was that Drivers would switch on the stereo player with loud volume!
I do not know if the conditions are any different now.
But, by looking at the present scenario I do not think they should be much different.
