Killer ! Hyjacked Killer!!!
by Satyan Nair on Oct 18, 2007 04:42 PM

It is not only speed but a kind of harassment also. Blueline bus stopped at some particular stops will park there for some 15 minutes. If you get in to the bus the conductor will collect the fare immediately and compell the commuter to wait in the bus. By the time one or two DTC buses on the same route may overtake it. Since the passenger has already paid the fare he/she has to wait in the bus and if he/she protested he/she will get a mouthful of abusive languages from the conductor. This is a tactic using to increase the collection. Then once the bus moved it has to go on an overspeed to catch up with the time and it became a killer bus. Clearly this is the result of lack of organised operational system and lack of educated and well trained conductors and drivers. If Delhi Govt. has the will, it can change it easily. But alas. all bus owners are influential!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
