Hard act to follow

China shows tremendous discipline and adds soft power to win over other countries. China's progress is mainly due to their govt, while we have to progress despite our political system which does not inspire confidence even to us, let alone others.

Our leftists are only ideologues, while China's are practical. It is time our lefties learned from their mentors. It is sad that their learning stopped after creating chaos. One has to only look at Kerala & West Bengal, where the communists can still make a difference, as they are in power. In Kerala, the situation became so bad that the educated left to get any job. In the seventies, all the companies, even govt owned, closed down due to left wing labour unions. Once they started killing off all enterprise, their steam ran out. The very action to protect the labour became their curse, as they had to seek work in horrible conditions in The Middle East, Africa etc. The other end was to face Tyson like punches thrown by Balsaheb. In West Bengal, the lowest strata of society had to be saved by a frail old foreign lady, while the leftists were engaging in idle theories. The move forward now has come from the despised private enterprise.

It is a lesson in paradox how China could build world class cities, facilites etc, while our theorists are unable to get out of a shit hole of their making. It is time they looked forward and tried to solve pressing problems like energy than crying wolf all the while.
