RE:Terrorists have no religion
by Shahenil Ashraf on Oct 13, 2007 09:34 PM

Hi all

Some good comments going back and forth here, just had to chip in with one of my

own. I personally think that all the 'terrorism' hype is way overdone and is

unfortunately used by some people as just a way to excuse growing racism and

religious intollerance.

The acts of terrorism that have happened over the past few years are terrible and I

agree that it must be stopped. But in taking steps to stop it, we must be careful

to make the world a better place, and not a police state full of paranoid people.

There are good people in all cultures and of all beliefs. Just as there are insane

people in all cultures and religions - I'm sure that for each crazy Muslim there is

a crazy Hindu or Christian fundamentalist. We need to protect our homes, our

families from the crazies, but we should be very careful about putting a label on

anyone because of their race or religion. It makes me a little sad to see the world

become more paranoid - and some of the basic freedoms that we all grew up with

slowly disappearing to 'help with the war on terror'.

Basically, crazies of all colours and religions should be stopped - and let's just

call them what they are, criminals. We should never allow ourselves to say that all

Muslims are evil, or all Christians are bad (or all Jews, or all whites, blacks,

etc...)

Terror is wrong, it should be stopped. But, the only real way to stop it, at least

at a wide level, is to
