To ON who is stuck on question about idols...

Each one of human being needs an external symbol for worship or place of worship...it could be anything be an idol, or a cross, or a durga, kabba.

Why do u need church or mosque to pray? Its an external entity...

Why does it hurt u when a church or mosque is brought down? Why so much attachment? Because its an external entity or symbol u associate with.

So these are basics of spirituality...I hope ur doubts are cleared?

Let me know if u have more, I know ur one-book does not teach much.
