Our unfortunate observation is that Indian Communists have severed their root-relationship with the people and also have been terribly habituated with democratic styles. India has more a party-ruled democracy than a people-ruled one. Congress also does not represnt the people. It has no such agenda either. In the last sixty years of Independence, trails of Congress managment are like replacing Sahibs to become themselves Sahibs. This has grown further and has reached an outrageous character of feudalism - sponsoring Rahul Gandhi may be to the extent he does not deserve. With situations set as such, Congress has done the best to ignore Left Front. They will certainly scream beyond proportion saying many pro-poor stock words of national or global interests, but sadly they are worried for their small pockets. If at all the mid-term election comes, most Communist parties will find themselves very unprepared, mostly for their cadre-linking reasons. Congress may not have to bother about that or why should take the responsibility of repair in Left parties, simply because they were supporting it's led khichri government. Why should not Congress take a chance to win of its own and quicken the process of feudalism by ceremonzing Rahul's democratic coronation? Rabi Kanungo Intellectual Forum.
