Karnataka

Nobody should expect better of local chieftains like Gowda,Karunanidhi, etc or aging communists. When will the pseudo-intellectuals of Kerala and Bengal stop electing the unpatriotic Left into power? When will Tamilians stop acting like a sub-nation and reject all versions of Dravidianism? The nation needs to move to a two-party system and avoid the musical chair farce that goes on in these states.Sixty years after we won freedom,we all still think locally and act stupidly.Poverty sucks equally whether you are a Hindu or a Muslim,Tamil or Punjabi,Brahmin or Harijan. We need to have a congress that deports Sonia to Italy and promotes someone from the grassroots. We need a BJP that accepts nationalistic minorities. Most stable democracies have a left-of-center and a right-of-center party that compete at the elections, not in buying these stupid local acts like the DMKs,JDs,etc. If we had two parties in direct competition, the people can focus on rewarding good governance, not caste or religious affiliation.Even in karnataka, the issue is more about lingayats vs some other caste more than about ideology.
