Vedanti stands by his remarks on Karunanidhi
by balajee ks on Oct 04, 2007 07:44 PM

The pity is the Hindus are not uniting and fighting the blasphemy issue. They are not very serious about attack on their own religion. So many Hindu organizations, like Ramakrishna Mission, Udupi Mutt, Vaishnav Mutt etc. are silent spectators as if they are not concerned. The religious heads and organizations must unite to condemn the attitude of Karunanidhi, Veeramani, Ramadoss and the ilk. Political leaders may not and need not have belief in God and Hindu Dharma. But it is their personal opinion and should not be mixed with administration of the country/state especially when they are in power. They should take extreme caution in uttering a word affecting any particular community or caste. But for Karunanidhi and their political allies, they would not utter a single word about any caste/religion except Brahmins/Hindus. For them other castes and religions are okay. You know one thing Karunanidhi did on the day he assumed office, the very first announcement was ordinance appointing people of all castes as Archakas of the Hindu temples. Is this so very important issue before the Govt? He draws strengh for all this, by announcing various sops and incentives to various castes and other religions. Whereas Govt must be equal to all castes/religions irrespective of the vote pattern. Karunanidhi's main target is not all Hindus, but Brahmins. By repeatedly hurting them he derives immense pleasure. Hindus of all walks of life must unite and defeat the designs of Karunanid
