Human rights
by srinivas krishnamurthy on Oct 05, 2007 10:09 AM

Let some human rights activists face some hard truths. It is perfectly ok if the inter-religious marriages facilitate the equal rights of both the spouses to follow their own faiths. But it is a mirage for hindu spouses. What about the girls getting suffocated by polygamous marriages after converting to Islam. Is it not gross violation of human rights of women. Forcing the religion through love is also violation of human rights. Why can't love permit equal rights to practise their own faiths.
If the rights activists are genuine, let them dig out innumerable such marriages and sufferings of converted hindus.
Fooling around the people with noble terms is no more acceptable. People should start demanding not just uniform justice but the universal justice also.
