RE:Cross belts
by VenkataNarayanan Srinivasamurthy on Oct 01, 2007 08:10 PM

Dear Sagar Singh (Whichever type of SINGH you are),

You are right about the cross-belts "crying" here. But I'm not sure how you positively know that they are cowards!

Today in TN the lower castes are oppressed/killed/humiliated not by cross-belts but by other so-called High castes (Thevars for e.g - remember kodiyangulam).

I'm a cross-belt and I don't like karunanidhi as a person. He not only has double standards but also has dubious standards.

Karunanidhi is a VERY VERY shrewd politician. He himself is not a Tamil. He has exceptional understanding of the "Skin color-Psycology" politics of tamilnadu. In the name of Language(Tamil), Casteism(particularly anti-brahminism) and Race(Dravidian-Aryan divide) he has kept tamil people away from integrating with the majority.

Things are changing and this brand of politics will die. Todays young tamilian, irrespective of his caste or religion, feels the disadvantage of not knowing hindi. Tomorrows tamilian, irrespective of caste or religion or race, would integrate well and would definitely prosper.

Tamilnadu is progressive because it's people are development oriented (again irrespective of caste, religion or race). In cities and abroad where tamilians live, there is harmony and RESPECT and understanding for everyone.

Finally, "Needhi, uyardha Madhi, Kalvi - ANBU niraya udayavargal Melor" - Bharathi.

Please don't accuse me of quoting a cross-belt poet (atleast others don't perceive it that way
