Hi, 1. Historically DMK (inherited from DK) is against people from North India. They are normally considered as people from upper class 2. Thaty why they opposed Hindi whey cental gvt made it as mandatory language- What DMK did was right. This helped TN to preserve tamil language and now states like karnataka and AP are struggling 3. They viewed RAM is from upper class and Ramayana is fight between people from north and south (Ravana). 4. To counter ramayana they came up with Ravanakavium that says good things about Ravana. 5. Its not MK who is against RAMA, all most great leaders form TN ( by telling i am not includeing MK in the list of great leaders )are of same view about RAM and RAMAYANA. 6. But i agree view experesed by MK is not in good taste. He himself have said once that people cannot express views in the name of freedom. If views are going to affect sentiments of people then it should not be made. 7. I dont know whether he will make similary view towards other relegion. 8. What SC did is right in the name of bandh they dont hoave rights to put peoples life in trouble.
