I guess immigrants not only came from across the borders..There are so many ppl who hail from the neighboring states of Jharkhand, Bihar and Orissa earling their livelihood in Bengal..Thaz the beauty of the so called "land of the foolish bongs"..Ask those immigrants to leave the state and listen to their replies..This state has given food/cloth/shelter to so many immigrants from all across the country that they can never think of leaving calcutta in the wildest of their dreams..
