US has very few options and Musharaff is taking advantage of that ... There is a belief in US state dept. that Musharaf through ISI may be helping talibanies against the US effort to finish them.
US wanted a power sharing arrangement between benazeer and musharaff ... US feels maybe just maybe, she will work out. Now Bush is in his last year in White House, the uy has to finish this or if dems take control, all the progress made by republicans is screwed.
