Partition's ghost haunts Pakistan?
by Vinod Tuli on Nov 06, 2007 11:40 AM

In his typical style, TARUN VIJAY in his article Partitions ghost haunts Pakistan has attempted to hit the nail under the present State of uncertainty in the sub continent. He has not very clearly stated as to undoing the 60 year old Partition would in any case be possible or better now. All attempts of reconciliation by one to one contact through many actions for the past over a decade by successive Indian Governments and their counterparts have in fact taken two separated brethren more by surprise and rather without any positive result. End result is Emergency like that of 1975 in India and Nov 2007 in Pakistan. The reasons for both the emergencies have been different but the main purpose of preserving KURSI is rather common. Indira Gandhi had realized her mistake within 18 months but what about the GENERAL? Truth may however, perhaps would never be known. TV KUMAR
