Musharraf is very smart. Under the disguise of increased militant attacks as the reason, he has imposed an emergency to take care of the judgement that was imminent and in probability would not have been in his favour. He has removed the chief justice and got one of his supporters as the new one. It is interesting to see the entire focus shifting towards judiciary system despite militant attacks being *cited* as the primary reason for emergency. I think Musharraf has failed here. He failed to divert the attention from judiciary systen. It is crystal clear that this is another example of autocracy.
