Hinduism is more than just sanatan dharam. What you are saying is like calling catholisism and christianity the same thing.
Arya Samajies believe in teachings Vedas, they do not believe in idol worship ... they are very much Hindus. Jains are hindus too, even though they don't beleive in sanatan dharma.
