Musharraf is quite justified in his statement. He is the best bet, even today for India, USA and the WEST.
America talks of civil liberties, but just before 35-40 years, white people did not sit with black people in Bus/Trains. Even today, racial undercurrents are present in the west. Similarly, the East is divided over religious/sectarian segments, and it will take a while before, a) various segments understand how to co-exist or b) some segments perish. As the option b is quite inhuman, the only option is option a. For that, we need to trust people like Musharraf, and give him more time. If it is at the cost of democracy, SO BE IT...
