Hindu means "People from the Indus valley". Every person born in India is a Hindu...whatever may be his religion or living philosophy. Remember Hinduism is not a religion, it is a collection of religions. The Bhagvad Geeta itself is a compilation of several philosophys so called Yoga's of life. Religion, in itself should have been Bhakti Yoga, but nowadays it has been reduced to neo-communal-political mess. All the different Gods that we have in hinduism were actually different Gods of different tribes and communities, all of them were assimilated into one collection of philosophy so called Hinduism. Infact I feel continuing the same philosophy , even the different rligious faiths e.g similar to different saints we have e.g Shri Swami Samartha, Shri Shankar Maharaj, Shri Sai Baba, we could also build temples for Shri Yasu Kristha (jesus christ) , or similar to the symbolical Shiva Ling , we could have a relplica of the Kaba so that the Christian Faith and the Islamic faith too can be assimilated into Hinduism. Buddhism is currently a part of Hinduism as Gautam Buddha is considered to be the 9th avatar of Lord Vishnu ( The Organiser ). Think about it, I know every idea has opposers, but even if a single mind opens it will help us build a better, tolerant, intelligent, strong and knowledgable country. am planning to put this idea up on a blog. let me know your views!!
