Someone, maybe the PUCL or similar NGO should file a PIL on this issue. Similarly one Arun Ferreira of Mumbai was arrested by the Nagpur police merely because he had done social work for the upliftment of adivasis. Merely empathising with these groups, even with Naxalites, is not a criminal offence. Draconian laws should be repealed. It is precisely these laws coupled with a spineless government that lead to violent insurgency problems in the first place.
