If you were with us during independence then why did you partition the country?
Secondly Nathuram Godse was not a terrorist. He was against Gandhi's and the congress's appeasment and partition policy. He could have very well planted a bomb and run away. But that would have hurt other innocent bystanders. So to avoid further appeasment and loss of the country he shot Gandhi and got arrested.
