Why non-arabs embrace/follow Islam?
by Anand Iyer on May 16, 2007 10:09 AM

I often wonder why non-Arab people follow Islam when Quran clearly states that it has been sent down in Arabic so that Arabs can understand. The following verses make it clear
"A Book, whereof the verses are explained in detail;- a Qur'an in Arabic, for people who understand;" [41:3]

Had We sent this as a Qur'an (in the language) other than Arabic, they would have said: "Why are not its verses explained in detail? What! (a Book) not in Arabic and (a Messenger an Arab?" [41:44]

"And thus have We revealed to you an Arabic Quran, that you may warn the mother city and those around it" [42:7]

Why non-Arabs believe in a Book which clearly states that it is meant for Arabs??????
