It is the lure of money that is getting them to convert and lose their identity. But mere change in religion does not bestow any grace on anybody, as is evident from the fate of Dalits even after they have embraced christainity or islam. On the other hand, so many low castes/muslims have managed to achieve heights in public life without being affected by their religious or caste affiliation.
