Yes, We do not have to do any thing for the official status of 'Nuclear Power'. We just wanted some detterrent and we got it. Perhaps it is Congress(I) (Read: I for Italy)'s unofficial policy to bend before US for everything. Can't we strive and thrive in this area (Nuclear Technology: Know-how - spare parts - fuel)?
