At the very outset, I am not anti-Muslim or anything - I am very secular, and have many close Muslim and Pakistani friends, and have prayed in a mosque in the past. But these are questions about Muslims in India that haunt even the most secular of us. This is not meant to offend, and I would merely like to know the answers to these questions from an Indian muslim brother.
I agree with you, mate. You guys can be Muslim and Indian. But please do understand that many of us non-Muslims are pissed off when not a single Muslim speaks out against terror attacks in his own country. THey try to blame it on hindu provocation.
Look at this - how many of us condemned the Gujarat riots? So many of us! There are Hindus out there fighting for Zaheera Sheikh and the rest... How many of you condemned the countless terrorist attacks on our country? Have you Muslims ever gone on a rally to say that the terrorists are not muslims, and are misusing the name of Islam? You guys had the energy to take a rally out to support the Iraqis, but cannot be bothered to support your fellow Indians. Why is this the case?
I apologise if I sound communal, as that wasn't my intention. I would just like a reasoned answer as part of an enlightened debate, and would request fundamentalists on either side to kindly desist from making provocative statements.
