Well Mr Biswajit..u r partly right but saying that the congregation was peaceful is anything but wrong...the women and child were put in front of the protest rally so that the Police doesnt shoot..the Bhumi Ucched Committe members with bombs and pistols were behind the women and children and they started hurling bombs once the police tried crossing the bridge..u r absolutely right in claiming that CPM cadres attacked the women and children and they were the ones who are the root cause of this masaccre..not the police as it was claimed initially (CBI has enough proof for this)..now please understand that these CPM cadres are also resident of Nandigram and they were driven out of their homes and villages by BUPC members..they were trying to regain their lands and it was a fight for survival..but i do feel that Police should not have been used as a scrapegoat..there would not have been so much hue and cry if it was a fight between CPM cadres and BUPC members which it actually is...just because Police was there in the middle there is so much of hue and cry..the main culprit here is Lakshman Seth ..its he who suld be hanged and not BUddha..though buddha is morally responsible as he is the head of CPM
