I read the article and the responses. Confused and confusing as it might sound to be . It is very easy for us to accuse all sides and not take sides. as for my friend who thinks capitalism laced with socialism is possible it is not not only an impossible proposition but also a ridiculuous thought in itself. Land acquisition is a debateable issue but viloence cannot be taken for granted be it from the state or the party that might be possibly behind this. as far as moving to services from agriculture is concerned i guess my friend sangeeta has forgotten that ownership of land carries varied connotations it is like a fixed deposit, investing in shares to put in a loose fashion. The tussle is not going to end with resignation of bengal cm it is a begining and we should gear up to protest if the need arises... regards
