Nandigram and Buddhadev resignation
by Praloy Majumder on Mar 19, 2007 04:37 PM

Whatever happened in Nandigram is deplorable. As a head of state , the CM has owned up the entire responsibility. Bengal has been trying to become one of the leading industrial states of the country. But some vested interested people do not want common people to take this economic benefit. The so called intellectuals are afraid of their own existence in this changing socio economic condition where people would not spend time for their act. Visit any industrialised state, see the common people. We the bengali people are proud of our intellectual prowess and now we are no where in the national scene. Theses intellectuals are no other than normal human being. These people never tried to improve the condition of common people. Now they have come to save the common people! West Bengal needs industrialisation and the present CM is the right person. What I would suggest that the ruling left front should resign and go for a fresh mandate where they will clearly mention that such and such acre of land would be acquried and the benefit is this. They should also mention that the consequence of not transforming the economy . Let the people decide what they want - darkness or bright sunshine. Let the common people decide their own benefit not these so called intellectuals who hardly worked for the common people.
