I totally empathize with your views. I have a friend of mine whose house is on the other bank of river haldi just opposite to nandigram and his family is caught up in the same situation as yours. Infact I am from kolkata and on my visit to home this winter i had to travel to kharagpur on road. As we just left howrah we saw a large number of closed mills/small industries and mind you these were just beside the high ways. We were wondering why these were not being used . Someone even mentioned the case of "Hind motor". Well if private land can be confiscated from villagers why can't the land occupied by these mills/ind by used for the same purpose - and these are right beside express ways.
Its a sad situation and doesnot augur well for the future of the state.
Its more sad to see how people so remotely connected either with the place or with the issue(even some bengali NRI s) are commenting
