Individual ''freedom'' cuts into family

Me, mine, my time, my family, my room etc. The culture all over the world is focussing on "me" and "mine".
This does not allow for any time available for tasks involving patience such as taking care of ones old folks.
When even Husband and Wife come to blows much more often and divorce too quickly, who has time to take care of "others"?
I think the inculcation of Dharma (specifically, the debt we owe to our parents) should be done much more vigorously in Schools.
