Nobody is saying that Hinduism is without faults. However, it is the most open religion that exists. You are right in saying that there is a significant gap between THEORY and PRACTICE. But in Islam the THEORY itself is flawed.
Now let's answer some of your questions:
1) every religion has issues and the caste system has been a big black mark on Hindu society. Majority of the population realizes that and great strides have been made to uplift the so-called lower castes. Things like this don't change overnight, but atleast the will is there.
2) Your observation is correct. However, it is not the religion that is condoning this behaviour, but abject poverty and lack of education. On the other hand in the Koran, it is clearly stated that if a woman doesn't heed to the desires of a man, she may be beaten. However, she should not be beaten as hard as a slave but enough that she remembers to never go against the man's wishes again.
3) We are trying to clean up our act by holding democratic elections where everyone has a voice. Unfortunately there is still a lot of ground to cover but atleast the foundation has been laid. Majority of the muslim nations don't offer this basic right to their population.
