These statements are mostly appeals for faith and inaccurate. I personally don't want to be "afraid" of my god. As for Islam being peaceful, ground realities are starkly different. Islamic fundamentalism is the biggest problem on earth now for everybody (including muslims). The middle eastern islamic nation belt keep fighting with each other at the slightest pretext (Iraq-Iran, Iraq-Kuwait, you name them, they have a problem. What islamic peace are we talking about? As for practising 40 days and changing my mind about Islam, according to quran, if I come out of Islam (apostasy), according to the sharia, I have to be killed. Enough said, muslims don't even have the freedom to criticise their religion (for fear of death);this negates their praise of islam because they just cannot afford not to praise. Numerous muslims who convert out of it, keep a low profile, to escape death by apostacy in the western world.
