RE:It could be 1/4 acutally
by Edwin Navaratnam on Jun 20, 2007 07:35 PM

There was no report on rediff, when Sri lankan Police, with government backing was busing all Tamil citizens in Colombo who were living in lodges. they were forcefully taken from these lodges around midnight, and were bused to Vavuniya in the north and to Batticaloa/Trincomalle in the East. Some of these were women and small children Diabetics and sick people who had come for medical treatment. People going overseas and waiting for thier visas andrefugees who had nowhere else to go and had come to Colombo. The was an outcry from the whole world ( Britain US Canada Europe Nowway and the UN and Japan) but no word from India. Due to the international outcry the SriLankan govt had to stop this and apologise. This is what Tamil Citizens have to face in Sri Lanka. This was done by the so called peaceful Buddhists. Many people stated this was happened to th Jews and in Bosnia etc. Next time the Tamils living amongst the Sinhalses may have to wear huge T badge on their clothes to identify themsleves so that the Sihalas can be safe. The SriLankan govt has already announced that the Tamils who were displaced last year from their homes in Muttur East and Sampur will not be allowed to return as this area has now been decalred a High Security Zone. The Sinhala Colonists and the Tamil speaking Muslims have been allowed , but the Tamil Hindu villagers who have been living there for thousands of years cannot return another ethnic cleansing project for the Sinhalafication of Trincomalee.
