PM's choice? It makes sense. The *P*oor *P*rime Minister has been trying hard to develop oratory skills -- which he badly lacks. Like Demosthenes, he tried practising with pebbles in his mouth, but only managed to mumble. Then someone told him about the Mother Goose rhyme:
"Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers; A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked; If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers, Where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?"
Reciting it greatly improved his style. Taking it from there, he hit upon the name Pratibha Patil. "President Pratibha Patil," he has been repeating on and off. It is much better than "Dick Whittington, thrice Lord Mayor of London", which has no relevance to India.
