Maharashtra goverment's lie on farmers help -
by DATTATRAYA DEOTALE on Jun 15, 2007 08:42 PM

Where is the help of Rs.1500/- per hectare to cotton growers of Vidarbha ? Has it lapsed in trans ?

Last year during the winter session of MAH assembly at NAGPUR, govt has declared a help of Rs. 1500/- per hectare to cotton growers to compensate losses incurred due to mass attack of fungal infection on the cotton crop.

The help amount is yet to be listed out ?
Perhaps the goverment must be waiting for the farmers to forget it easily and they can divert the amount elsewhere as they are doing with the
irrgation plan layout alotted to vidarbha region!

When that money is going to reach the farmers ?
Today, it is the sowing season since mansoon is already onset .
It must reach to the needy, when he needs it most i.e. at the time of purchasing the seeds form sowing !

Is there any sensible authority to realise this need ?
