Plea challenging Maya as UP CM quashed
by Bodh Ramdeo on Jun 13, 2007 06:06 PM

Maybe India should opt for the Chinese totalitarian system, as surely, democracy hasn't worked - rather than advancing the best intersts of the masses and the nation, it has instead been used by criminals, with the aid of the corrupted judiciary to divide and subvert them, into near anarchy.
At least with a dictatorship, govt can put controversial and difficult decisions into effect, without worrying about the 'voter backlash' as there will be no voters.
Anyways, the country is already run by mafias and dictators, albeit for the 5 year duration and beyond, if they get re-elected. Lalu Prasad, Mulayam, Jayalithaa, Maywati, Karunanidhi et al have all behaved as despotic dictaors, using the power of the state to bulldoze their opponents, all with the willing participation and complicity of a corrupt judiciary.
