"Instead, by acting in haste, the tantri has created a situation where, if Ravikrishna produces proof that he is a Hindu, we are all in trouble."
The priest jumped to a conclusion about Ravikrishna's religion. He should have asked for clarification before performing rites. Yes.
But regarding not allowing non-hindus in temple, no non-hindu has a business to demand entry. It is upto us hindus to decide that. In amny temples, it is allowed. In some like Guruvayoor, it is not. Fair enough. Only thing hasty and arbitrary action to be avoided.
I have rethought my earlier stand of allowing entry to non-hindus after the vicious, virulent, unjustified and non-factual assault on hinduism launched by Christian evangelists. Now I support the line taken by Dheeraj Akula with qualification that there should be no hasty/arbitrary action.
