The Truth
by ems nnn on Jun 06, 2007 02:04 PM

The truth is in old Kerala, the untouchable Hindus (OBCs and SC/ST) , Christians and Muslims who eat non-veg , consume alcohol did not follow pula(Ashoucha after death and birth) and rules related to periods of women were debarred from entering temples . After the Temple entry all Hindus are allowed to enter temples.
But there was no temple entry made for non-Hindus and so the practise of punyaham is still continuing. the Brahmins of Kerala have no personal objection to non-Hindus entering temple ; they are just following the old custom
