They don't realise that they were able to convert to Islam and Christianity because they were Hindus. How many Muslims and Christians are able to convert to Hinduism.
I have a Christian friend. His family and his relatives's families converted to Christianity (in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh coastal belt). He really regrets converting to Christianity, because he feels it is shallow and empty, when compared to Hinduism. He wants to be a Hindu, but he can not be a Hindu. The people around him will not let him convert to Hinduism.
