Sir, Every one in this country would desire your wish, unfortunately, things are not so simple. Although we desire to pursue peace to attain prosperity for our people; other nations will not let us be. It has never happened in history and will never happen in future also. The only other country to pursue a similar ideal is the US, they have the isolation provided by the Oceans, but today they too are under siege.9/11 is a standing example. If we as a nation do not follow the compulsions of a nation state then it would be our fault if we do not secure peace simply believing in the goodness of others. If we want peace then we have to be prepared for war. This is a fact, harsh and bitter. The peace of a vassal state is illusory. It has not prevented the depredations of the ruling powers to weaken and exploit. We have a long way to go to build a self reliant and confident India, so we have to engage other nations keeping our national self interest paramount at all times.
